My number one priority is acceptance into a school and soccer program that best fits me and my needs.
Cost is a factor in making my decision, but it is not my most important criteria. Regarding scholarships, I should qualify for academic, leadership, and athletic scholarships.
The right fit academically, athletically, and socially.
I am looking for growth and I feel a college with strong academics and a soccer program that continues to develop my skills would be the best fit for me. Additionally, I am looking for opportunities to volunteer within the community and social events.
The ultimate decision is mine, but I value the input from my trusted inner circle to make sure I have all the information so I can make an informed decision. My inner circle consists of my parents, coaches, and counselors.
Yes
Many of my friends think I am crazy for looking outside of Southern California, but I feel it is important to experience life and that may require me moving out of state.
I am open to all 50 states
Travel: International and domestic I really enjoy the experience and opportunity to see life outside of SoCal.
Movies: At home or at the theater I just love movies. Comedies, action, and dramas, are my favorite just no horror films please.
Escape Rooms: These really appeal to my competitive nature and allow me to challenge myself with friends and family.
Facetime: My high school is a commuter school so my friends and I are very spread out geographically. Our daily facetime group calls allow us to hang out together when the opportunity for in person meeting isn’t possible.

Center Back, Right Back, Midfield
1. I am coachable. I am here to win and develop as a player. This is not something I can do alone so I actively seek out the input from my coaches because we share the same goals.
2. Game IQ. I can read the game very well. I can predict my opponents' tactics and communicate them to my teammates before they happen on the field. I quickly identify playing styles and can adjust my game play accordingly.
3. I supplement my club team practices with my trainer and on my own. I have the luxury of working with Coach Armando Rocha. His program attracts college and professional soccer players his sessions attract. I train with Coach Armando four – five days per week, either before or after school depending on my schedule.
4. Goal oriented and I do not get distracted from by goals. I know what I want, and I go after it.
5. From my experiences with student leadership, I understand what is required of a leader and the need to recognize those that need guidance even when they are unable to ask for themselves.
Strengths
1. I am coachable.
2. I have a high game IQ. I know how to read the game very well.
3. I prefer defensive positions but have found myself playing attacking midfield positions too. I can be used as a utility player if needed, even in goal but I will be the first to tell you I may not have the height to be the most successful keeper on the team.
4. I train harder and more often than my teammates.
Weaknesses
1. I am 5’ 4” and I wish I were taller but up until recently I have been the shortest person on the field and size has never intimidated me.
2. I weigh 120 pounds; I have no problem being physical and I have the skill to more than compensate.
3. School first, soccer second. Education is very important to me because it gives me options in life. Whenever there is a conflict, I find it is usually resolved with an adjustment to my schedule.
4. Spiders!
I was a late bloomer; size was always something I was lacking.
On the wall above my bed hangs a William Shakespeare quotation “Though she be but little, she is fierce!” and this is how I view myself.
My nicknames playing are Honey Badger and Kamikaze Kate. Honey Badger because I have no fear going up against any opponent regardless of their size or skill and Kamikaze Kate for much the same reason, I charge in with the team’s goals ahead of my own.
I have a strong relationship with both my club coach and my trainer. I am open to being coached, accepting, and incorporating their feedback so that I can develop as a player.
I encourage you to reach out to both coaches to learn more about me. Their contact information can be found on the Contact Us page.
I joined my current team in May 2022. While the team is new I have played with and against several of my teammates over the years.
I pride myself of being drama free whenever possible. I support my teammates and their contributions while not getting dragged into situations that take me away from my goals. I find that most players respect my avoidance of gossip and nonproductive distractions. I am always up for hanging out with my teammates when the activities involve good decision making that brings happiness and joy to all.
I think being competitive is something you are just born with. Growing up if there was a sporting event taking place on the playground, I had to be a part of it. Dolls and dress up were never appealing, there are no winners, but the opportunity to prove myself was something I never skipped.
I started playing soccer for AYSO at age 5 and was quickly recruited to play for CSA a local club team.
Throughout my playing career I have gained insights which have helped me both on and off the field. I have learned that we live in the now, and to not get distracted by prior mistakes or the anxiety of the future. I have core beliefs that guide me and keep be grounded, for example, failure only occurs when nothing is learned. I train hard so the games are fun. I study hard so the tests are fun. I do not fear exams for they are the reward for the hard work, much like games. I also own my actions and my inactions. I do not believe in sacrifices I believe in choices. I do not sacrifice anything I make conscience choices, choices that move me closer to my goals. To sacrifice is to give up, I do not give up, ever, I accomplish.
I am a goal-oriented warrior.
I have a growth mindset and the experience to appreciate the benefits of self-reflection and course correction when necessary to achieve my goals.
I am resourceful, self-motivated, and a team player.
Leadership experience
Commitment to building a better worked for the people within my community.
I have a big heart and a good soul, and I am going to go on and do great things in life.
I really enjoy all sports but the most frequently played sports outside of soccer are:
Surfing
Baseball
Snowboarding
Disc golf
Fishing
